For eons, Demons made deals. They tempted, tricked, and schemed for the soul power they needed and craved. It was hard, grueling, inherently antagonistic work.

Then the world changed.

Humans began willingly and eagerly giving their worship to Idols merely for existing. For nothing more than a song, a handshake, and a picture, fans offered the worship and soul energy that Demons once fought to steal.

Now rival Idol Demon groups are forming to capture the hearts and souls of fans. You are a former lord of the hells turned Manager, and it is up to you to assemble the ultimate infernal lineup, outmaneuver the competition, and take the souls by storm.

Welcome to Idol Demon Draft

Idol Demon Draft is a fast, interactive card game for 2-4 players. Play Demons from your hand, transform them into Idols on your stage, respond to rival plays with powerful Type abilities, and race to assemble a winning group.

A card in your hand is a Demon. Once it enters play, it becomes an Idol.

Every Idol combines one of seven Styles with one of seven Demon Types. Style abilities shape your own performance when an Idol enters play. Type abilities let you interfere from your hand - even during another Manager's turn.

Take the stage

Each turn follows a quick dramatic rhythm:

1. Play a Demon from your hand.
2. Open the interaction phase. Any Manager may discard two Demons of the same Type to activate that Type's ability.
3. Resolve the responses from newest to oldest.
4. Resolve the played Demon and its Style ability.
5. Check for victory, then draw back up to at least five cards.

Every new Idol is an opportunity - and every rival play is a chance to interfere.

Two paths to stardom

You immediately win by building either:

• Five Idols of the same Type, each with a different Style, or
• Five Idols of the same Style, each with a different Type.

Commit to a signature Style, unite a terrifying Demon Type, or change direction as the table turns against you.

The 98-card deck contains two copies of every possible Style and Type combination.

Idol Styles

• Pure - Expand your draw-up step.
• Sunshine - Draw cards, then refine your hand.
• Ice Queen - Destroy a rival Idol.
• Tomboy - Trade a card in hand for one from the discard pile.
• Big Sister - Protect another Idol by tucking it beneath her.
• Fashionista - Inspect an opponent's hand and discard a card from it.
• Alternative - Force every opponent to discard at random.

Demon Types

• Imp - Throw away your hand and draw an even bigger one.
• Fiend - Replace the Demon being played with the top card of the deck.
• Succubus - Redirect an ability to another legal target.
• Chain - Negate an activated Demon-Type ability.
• Devil - Protect an Idol from destruction or tucking for the turn.
• Fel - Recover a Demon that entered the discard pile this turn.
• Pit - Turn two Demons into the activation cost for another Type.

Protect your stars

Big Sister can tuck another Idol beneath her, sheltering that Idol from targeting, destruction, and further tucking. A tucked Idol remains in play and still counts toward victory.

But protection has a price: when Big Sister leaves the stage, the Idol beneath her is exposed again.
